Since 1972 the Washington Area Bicyclist Association has been fighting hard to ensure that you can ride whereever you want to go safely. Can you imagine what the Washington region would be like without things like the Capital Crescent Trail, Beach Drive on the weekends or bike access on Metrorail and bus? It's scary to think about how our region might have developed without an orgainzation dedicated to making sure that biking and walking were part of the transportation solution.
