The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of our local waters, and environment as a whole. The Cyclist for the Bay program is way for us, as cyclists, to support these ideas through what we do.

DC Critical Mass Bike ride

Although this ride is not organized or endorsed by WABA, we do support free events that work to bring the cycling community together. We encourage all participants to respect everyone on the road and show their best critical manners.

NPS Ranger Bike Tours of the Mall

If you want to enjoy the warm weather and experience the famous cherry blossoms, without all the traffic, you’ll love our Ranger led bike tours! Join Park Rangers every Saturday and Sunday from   1:00pm - 4:00pm for guided bike tours of the Nation’s Capital. No two tours are ever the same! All riders MUST provide their own bike, helmet, and water. All tours begin at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. 

The bike tour season begins during the National Cherry Blossom Festival and continues through the last Sunday of November (Saturday, March 29 – Sunday, November 30, 2008).

This year we’re thrilled to announce our new events in Chesterfield, VA and Washington, PA along with our Westminster, MD SWAP that started it all... plus an additional Spring event to be announced soon!

The STOP, SWAP AND SAVE is the place to sell your old parts and bikes or take advantage of unbelievable deals on everything you need for a great season of cycling. Buy, sell, browse, shop, trade or just hang out with industry reps, individual vendors, bike shops, manufacturers and like-minded cyclists!

Admission is still only $5 and includes thousands of square feet (yes, it's all indoor and heated) of everything that cycling has to offer. Whether you’re looking for road, mountain, triathlon, BMX, vintage, new or used, there’s something for everyone!
