Join the Washington Area Bicyclist Association and biking baseball fans from around the region for a pot luck bicycle tailgate party at RFK Stadium (click link for map and location) followed by a group ride down to Nationals Park to watch the home team take on the Chicago Cubs. The event celebrates the opening of a new section of the Anacostia Riverwalk and Trail near RFK Stadium, as well as the new bike valet at Nationals Park. WABA will provide the grills, and hotdogs, burgers and veggie options. Please bring drinks, chips/dips, and picnic-type sides to share with friends. This event will happen RAIN OR SHINE. In the event that it rains, we will relocate the tailgating party under the east capital street bridge.
**Cyclists with bike trailers are needed to help get tailgate provisions from the WABA office to RFK. If you can help meet us at the office at 10:00am.
WABA has purchased a block of 100 tickets for the game against the Cubs. Tickets for the game cost $35 each for WABA members, $40 for non-members and are available on a first come-first serve basis through the WABA website.
